This page explains how to access, manage, and delete your personal information in the Bright Kids App, in accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) and applicable privacy laws.

1. Overview

You control your account data. Bright Kids does not sell your personal information and does not share it with third parties or affiliates for advertising or marketing.

2. Delete Your Account in the App

If you have an account, you can delete it directly in the App:

1. Open the Bright Kids app and sign in.

2. Go to Settings (gear icon or profile menu).

3. Tap Privacy & Legal.

4. Tap Delete Account.

5. Read the summary of what will be deleted.

6. Confirm deletion (you may need to re-authenticate with Apple, Google, or Facebook).

What happens next:

Temporary deactivation is not offered — deletion removes your account data as described below.

We will not retain identifiable account data in our App backend after deletion except as stated above.

5. If You Cannot Access the App

If you lost your device, cannot sign in, or need help:

Include the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Correct or Export Your Data

To update profile or student information: edit it in the App under your account settings.

To request a copy of your data: email school@brightkids.online with the subject "Data export request." We will provide a copy of personal information we hold in our systems within a reasonable time as required by applicable law. If in-app export is enabled in a future App version, you may also use Settings → Export / Import Data when available.

7. Withdraw Consent

If you withdraw consent for processing:

Withdrawing consent for essential processing means you can no longer use account features.

8. Children's Data

Student information is controlled by the parent/guardian account. Deleting your account deletes student profiles you added from our App systems. See our Children's Privacy Notice.
